Here’s what they have to say:
Once upon a time, Robert Pattinson was a shaggy-haired virtual unknown, best remembered for the “Harry Potter” films and hoping to be taken seriously as an actor via a series of small, low-profile independent films. Eventually, he would become Edward Cullen — the ideal companion for women all over the world and plastered in more bedrooms than wallpaper itself.
But first, he had to learn “How to Be.”

Entertainment Tonight has a new interview with Rob!

“Change isn’t always good.
Especially if you’re Robert Pattinson, the former model who has catapulted to teen idol status courtesy of blockbuster vampire movie “Twilight.”
Pattinson, now filming the sequel “New Moon”, says his sudden fame has made him a “paranoid wreck” in terms of his friendships.”
“I’m always really worried about ruining (friends) lives. Especially with people that aren’t famous. It’s such a massive change. I’m kind of a paranoid wreck. I’ve eaten a lot of room service,” Pattinson told Entertainment Tonight, in on-set interviews to start airing on the celebrity television program on Thursday.
The assistants, security and other hordes that come with sudden fame are also proving hard to get used to. “Now it’s funny, you can’t even get through to people on the phone. They won’t even let you ring people up. I can’t even ring down to reception and say let (visitors) up. I have to literally go down and carry them,” he said.
But Pattinson said it feels “suprisingly natural” to play lovestruck vampire Edward Cullen again, and he promises fans they will see plenty of him in the movie sequel, even though his character in the Stephenie Meyer book is mostly absent from the story.
“(In the film) it’s an illusion when he (Edward) appears. I think if you do it with voiceover as they do in the book, it would end up being quite cheesy. But it’s very subtle, my presence,” Pattinson said.”

Rob’s next movie in line (in Twilight series) Eclipse has finally got a director!
Summit Entertainment announced today that David Slade has been hired to direct THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on the Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. The announcement was made by Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Production.
Meyer stated, “I am thrilled that David Slade will be directing ECLIPSE. He’s a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise. From the beginning, we’ve been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight Saga, and I’m so happy that ECLIPSE will be carrying on with that tradition.”
Filmmaker Slade came to prominence as a director for his work on 2006’s engrossing film HARD CANDY starring Academy Award® Nominated actress Ellen Page as well as directing 2007’s genre hit 30 DAYS OF NIGHT which opened to number one at the box office its first weekend of release.

Watson said she was thrilled to see her hunky “Goblet of Fire” and “Order of the Phoenix” co-star graduate to become one of Hollywood’s most promising young leading men since, well, Daniel Radcliffe. “Obviously, I know Rob,” she explained. “I’m just gob-smacked by the level of excitement and hype around ‘Twilight.’ I’m very happy for Rob that it’s been so successful.”
And although RPattz likes to play up his shock and confusion over all those shrieking, Sharpie-waving fans, Emma insisted that she knew all along that he’d someday become like the Beatles all rolled into one. “Of course I did; he is incredibly handsome!” she grinned. “He is a very, very handsome man, so I’m not too surprised.”

Spinner recently interviewed Billie Joe (the lead singer of Green Day). He mentions Rob here:
Who would you want to play Christian and Gloria if this were given a big screen adaptation? The girl that played in ‘Juno’ [Ellen Page] — I think she could be Gloria. The song ‘East Jesus Nowhere’ — I got the title from ‘Juno.’ There was that one part where the mother goes, “Why are you driving out in East Jesus Nowhere to go hang out with that couple.” And it was like, “Oh my god, I’ve heard of Bumf— Egypt, but East Jesus Nowhere? That’s amazing.”
And Christian, I’m gonna say maybe that kid in ‘Twilight’ [Robert Pattinson]. He’s a good actor. There’s still more to come with that kid.
